California lifeguard rescues 10-year-old from rough ocean waves

A 16-year-old lifeguard named Ryder Williams rescued a 10-year-old boy from pounding surf off Santa Cruz Beach in California. The dramatic rescue, captured on video and widely shared, was Williams' first rescue on the job. The boy's father expressed gratitude to the teenage lifeguard.
